The Benefits of Sole Water

Friday, October 4th, 2019

The benefits of Sole water have been seen by many who have tried it. Most of us have heard about drinking lemon water to help detoxify our bodies, but have you heard about adding water to your water for health? Salt can be very beneficial to our health. Salt naturally contains minerals that are necessary for our bodies to function.

Sole water (pronounced so-lay), is not a miracle cure or hip new fad as it has been used for hundreds of years by our ancestors, it is a life-supporting mixture of mineral-rich, unrefined salt and water that supports the body’s natural ability to regulate and heal itself. The term Sole comes from the Latin “sol”, which means sun.
Make your Sole water with  Himalayan salt as it is considered to be the purest form of salt on earth.
Sole Water provides many benefits to the body
There are many benefits that have been discovered by drinking sole water some of these include:
  • Keeping the body hydrated for longer by flooding it with necessary minerals.
  • Provides vitamins and minerals to the body which are quickly absorbed when combining salt and water.
  • Helps with sleep by relaxing the body.
  • Clearer skin as salt helps with detoxing the cells.
  • Helps digestion.

You can purchase Himalayan salt from most health food shops.

The video below explains in more detail as well as giving instructions on how to make the sole water.

How to Make Sole Water

Sole water is very easy to make and therefore something that you should add to your health regime.

  • Take a glass jar with a plastic or glass lid. (Not metal as it will corrode from the salt).
  • Fill the jar to 1/4th full with Himalayan salt.
  • Fill to about 1 inch below the top of the jar with filtered water.
  • Cover with lid and shake gently to mix.
  • Leave overnight on bench top for salt to dissolve.
  • In the morning, you will notice that the water will be fully saturated. If there is still some salt left then it is ready to use.
  • If there is no salt left then add some more and leave it to sit for more time.
  • Each morning, place one tablespoon of the sole water into a glass of filtered water (room temperature) then drink it.

30-Day Water Challenge Revisited

Friday, September 28th, 2018

Well, here we go, the 30-day water challenge revisited. A couple of years ago we wrote about the 30-day water challenge. We spoke about how it was really important to drink enough water daily. To keep your body working at optimum performance levels, you should be drinking 0.033 litres of water per kilo of bodyweight.

With summer fast approaching, we should be thinking about our hydration levels. As we are always saying, by the time you feel thirsty, your body is already crying out for water. Your body is telling you that you are dehydrated when you start to experience the following symptoms.

  • Thirst
  • Dry or sticky mouth
  • Not peeing very much
  • Dark yellow pee
  • Dry, cool skin
  • Headache
  • Muscle cramps

Our bodies are amazing machines that if we listen will let us know what is wrong. Lack of fluids can be the start of many problems. We can alleviate many of these problems by just monitoring and increasing our fluid intake. The funny thing is that it is only difficult to drink more for the first few days, but then gradually each and every day it gets a little easier.

I found a terrific bottle in the sports shop that actually has the measurements in ml and litres on the side as well as the times of the day. This makes it really easy to drink more water but in smaller increments. It is a 2-litre bottle, so quite large to carry around but you can decant into a glass. I have found it a great way to monitor how much I am drinking because it shows if I am on track. I take this around with me during the day and it definitely helps me to drink more water on a daily basis.

Will you do the 30-day water challenge?

Make a decision today and your body will thank you for it. Head over to our 30- day water challenge post and check out the instructions. Then grab yourself a bottle so you can monitor your fluid intake. It’s as simple as that and you will be so glad you did. Here’s to a healthy, hydrated new you.

5 Ways to Drink More Water

Friday, March 23rd, 2018

We all know that we should drink more water and that by the time our mouths feel dry we are already dehydrated but did you know there are some ways that can help encourage you to drink more water. I am going to share with you 5 ways to drink more water because once drinking more becomes a habit you will find it much easier to increase your daily intake. The benefits will be felt very quickly once you make it a daily ritual to drink for water.

1. Drink a glass as soon as you wake up in the morning.

While you have been sleeping, your body has been working hard to rejuvenate your organs and repair your cells, therefore, it would truly appreciate the hydration that comes from a wonderful glass of water. It will also flush out the toxins that have accumulated around your joints whilst sleeping. A great start to the day and even better if you drink it lukewarm with the juice of 1/2 a freshly squeezed lemon added for a little extra detox.

2. Use a Refillable Drink Bottle.

While it is great to drink out of a glass, it is not always practical. When you are on the go all of the time it makes it hard to always have water on hand. If you make it part of your routine to take a water bottle with you wherever you go then you will always have your water easily accessible. When it is always right with you or in front of you there will always be that fresh reminder to keep you drinking regularly.

3. Drink a glass before each meal.

Often times we are thirsty and dehydrated but our body mistakes it as the signs of hunger. If we make it a habit to drink a glass of water before each meal not only will it help our digestion of the foods but it will also fill us up slightly. This has a wonderful way of stopping us from overeating.

4. Drink herbal teas.

Herbal teas are a wonderful way to aid you in consuming more water because herbal teas are consumed without anything else they are just as good as having water. Not only that, the benefits of many herbs will also help to keep you healthy and active. Herbs can be chosen for not only their taste but also their health benefits. For example, Chamomile is great for relaxation and calming the nerves, wonderful in times of stress. Dandelion helps to promote digestion and is also know to help cure acne. Lemon and turmeric water has great health benefits also. There are so many more positives to drinking herbal tea but if it helps you increase your water intake then that in itself would be enough. Make sure you don’t add anything else to it such as sugar.

5. Add fruit and or vegetables to your water.

Many people find water hard to drink due to the lack of taste, I know as a child I did. Try adding some cut up fruit to your bottle before you fill it. What you add is entirely up to you and what you like. Try experimenting with different things until you find something you like. Some ideas could be citrus fruits like orange, lemon or lime. Berries like blueberries, strawberries or raspberries. You could even use cucumber or watermelon. Whatever you use will benefit you. Many fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which help the body to fight off free radicals within and keep you healthy at a cellular level.

Water is The Key to Health

Thursday, August 31st, 2017

Water is the key to health! this is something I have been telling my family for as long as I remember. Being someone that doesn’t like taking any medication, I knew water was the key to health. I was determined to bring my children up understanding how their bodies worked. I wanted them to enjoy a healthy life without reaching for a pill every time something went off balance.

If any of then say they don’t feel well the first thing I say is, ” have a glass of water.” Nine out of ten times, their problem is cured with a long refreshing glass of the good stuff.

Hydration is so important, whenever we start to become dehydrated every part of our internal machinery starts to suffer, especially on a hot day when we are sweating out more fluids than we are replacing.

When you consider the fact that our bodies are made up of 50 to 75% depending on our age it becomes clear that if we are dehydrated our bodies will break down. A person can survive up to three weeks without food but only 3 days without water.

Main functions of water on our bodies

  • It keeps our organs functioning well.
  • It cushions our joints.
  • Flushes waste from our bodies.
  • aids in our digestion.
  • Regulates our metabolism and body temperature.

These factors make it so very important to drink lots of water and yet something that we all fail to think about in our day to day lives. So, next time you get a headache or pain in the stomach, think about how much fluid you have taken in within the last couple of hours and give your body what it needs. Constipation and headaches are two of the very first symptoms of dehydration along with a dry mouth.

Give your body the love it needs and keep it hydrated on a daily basis because water is the key to health.

Water is amazing and completely necessary to keep you functioning, it will help detoxify your body as well as keeping you hydrated. A Great Office Solution

Tuesday, June 21st, 2016

Do you want a great office solution to keep staff and clients happy? It is a known fact that when people are dehydrated they become grumpy and irritable, in actual fact dehydration is the main cause of moodiness, frustration and headaches. As our bodies become depleted of fluid we lose concentration and can’t think straight which in turn leads to irritability and lack of focus.

Just imagine everyone happy, joyous and focused on what they are doing. Something as simple as a glass of water can help very much in this goal. Increasing fluid intake just by a couple of glasses of water each day will  improve your long-term health and keep your organs working at their optimum performance levels. No more grumpy customers! that would make such a difference in everyone’s day….

We speak to many people each and every day whilst we are visiting clients and servicing our coolers and one of the most common thing we are told is that once the cooler was installed everyone increased the amount of water they drank and they were less inclined to drink sugary carbonated drinks. They also felt that having the cooler there encouraged them to drink more.

Our water coolers come with cool and cold or hot and cold options. So if you are wanting to serve hot beverages you have boiling water on tap without turning on a kettle. That is great for businesses where staff have a 10-minute tea break as they don’t have to wait around for a kettle to boil to make their cuppas.

Our coolers are great office solutions where clients and customers are waiting around for services such as doctors, dentists, and other medical waiting rooms, Mechanics workshops, hotel lobbies, in fact pretty much anywhere that has access to water and a power point.

Our rental plans start at as little as $10 per week + GST with no locked in contract and a seven-day free trial. We service Far North Queensland from Innisfail to Mossman and the Tablelands.

How Spending $10 Per Week Will Improve Your Profits

Friday, March 4th, 2016

I want to show you how spending $10 per week will improve your profits and make your business stand out from the rest.  It doesn’t matter what type of business you have. Everyone can benefit from this and it may surprise you.

Did you know that dehydration is the number one cause of daytime fatigue, well most people actually don’t. 75% of the adult population suffer from chronic dehydration, now that number is huge. Here are just a few facts about water consumption and why everyone needs to be encouraged to drink more water.

  1. Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
  2. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day (half of that coming from food and drinks other than plain water) could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
  3. A tiny  2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
  4. Researchers from the University of Connecticut’s Human Performance Laboratory found that even mild dehydration alters a person’s mood, energy levels, and mental function.

So when you look at those statistics you can see why you are not getting 100% from your staff and probably yourself. I am not saying that they are deliberately not working to their full potential, what I am saying is that they are more than likely not even aware that they are dehydrated.  99% of employers supply tea and coffee to their staff for break times which is wonderful. However, caffeine has been shown to contribute to dehydration. Most people will have a bottle of coke or some soft drink while on a break and all of these things are all making the situation worse.

We live in one of the hottest parts of Australia and many people just get used to the climate but they don’t think about whether their water consumption is adequate for their daily activities.

As an employer wouldn’t you want to make sure your staff are hydrated enough to work at peak performance for their whole working day and not just the morning. We all know it gets to about 2 pm and the afternoon fuzzies move in, everyone slows down and starts yawning and clock watching to see how much longer they have before home time. What if you could stop that and have your staff attentive and productive all day.

I have the solution!

Let us install a  Filtered Water Cooler at your place of business. All this will cost you is $10 + GST each week. Just imagine how much happier your staff will be once they are properly hydrated. Our research has found that once a cooler is installed the average person notices that their water consumption goes up by approximately 300 to 500%, people just automatically keep filling their bottles up and are much more focused and alert.

We install the cooler and service it every 13 weeks so you don’t have to do a thing.

D5C Picture

  • You filter your own tap water – a never ending supply of quality fresh water.
  • You help the environment – reducing plastic packaging and your carbon footprint.
  • All you need is water and power – we do the rest and installation is included.
  • From less than $1.60 a day you can enjoy a constant supply of cool, filtered water at your premises.

That is how spending $10 per week  will improve your profits.

Rock Formations Become a Tourist Attraction

Friday, January 15th, 2016

Rock Formations become a tourist attraction in Far North Queensland. We spend our days travelling around Far North Queensland taking care of our clients filtered water coolers. We love our job and some days are extra special like yesterday. It was a beautiful day in Far North Queensland and we had to make a trip to Port Douglas to install a cooler and service many of our other coolers in the area. After seeing something on Facebook about the rocks that had appeared along the coastal road between Cairns and Port Douglas, we decided to look out for them. It didn’t take us long to spot them, the cars along the roadside were an instant giveaway.

Wow, the sight was a lot bigger than we expected. Due to the dangers of just pulling over and having to cross the road we decided to wait until the return trip to stop, that way we would be travelling in the correct direction to pull over safely.

It really has become quite the tourist attraction, there would have easily been more than a dozen cars stopped with people taking pictures and posing with these man-made structures. Each day as more and more people stop the amount increases. Well, who would stop and not add their little piece of art to the collection. I think this is just wonderful. Everyone was smiling with sheer delight and posing with the beautiful natural beauty of Far North Queensland.

The Cairns post has written an article on the formations that are growing by the day, that is until nature decides they will be no more and removes them with a high tide or storm. They are located on the Captain Cook Highway between Pebbly and Ellis Beaches.

Here are some of the pictures that we took of the wonderful rock formations. Click on each picture to enlarge it.
